..low water alert for the portland and vancouver harbors friday through monday,

columbia and willamette river levels in the vicinity of portland and vancouver will be very low during low tide periods through the holiday weekend. the lowest river levels will happen during the late morning low tide each day, generally between 9 am and noon. sunday morning is predicted to have the most extreme lows, with the stage for the columbia river at vancouver dropping to -0.5 feet and the stage for the willamette river at portland dropping to -0.2 feet.

boaters and river recreationalists on the columbia and lower willamette should use extreme caution in and near areas of shallow water.
