Jan 31, 2008Neighborhood Notes
The South Portland Neighborhood Association is opposing the plan for a new affordable housing project in the neighborhood. Why? A couple reasons, one of which is that it does not provide affordable places for families.

Land-use committee chairman Mr. Jim Davis is quoted as saying 'We are essentially just a bedroom community with white, relatively wealthy people. How the hell can you have a neighborhood without families, without kids, without schools?'

While you read the rest of the Oregonian article I'm signing off to call Mr. Davis and share our thoughts and efforts on behalf of Central Portland Families.
