The 46th Ann Arbor film festival is coming to the NW Film Center. The longest running experimental film festival in the country, this year's tour features 31 of the best short films in the festival, split into two programs. Wednesday's program features works from Ben Peters' Frog Jesus to Josh Rankin's I Met the Walrus. Thursday's program includes Kelly Sears' The Drift, Semiconductor's Brilliant Noise - and many, many more on both nights.

The Northwest Film & Video Festival is bringing filmmakers together so they can be inspired by each other's work and to illuminate available resources.
Not familiar with a BarCamp? It started in software circles, but NW Film Center is stealing the idea: simply put, it's a convention-like gathering coordinated for, by and about the participants?in this case, NW filmmakers. That means that YOU suggest topics, YOU think of a presentation you might make, YOU help pull together any resources you can to make the event more useful and/or more fun. Everyone's an equal here.
WHAT WILL THE BARCAMP LOOK LIKE?
Everyone talks online leading up to the event.
The BarCamp day (Nov 8) will begin at 10am where, over coffee and snacks, you'll introduce yourselves and presenters will place themselves on a big schedule grid on the wall.

KPSU - Portland's college radio and NW Film Center team up to bring music to the TOP DOWN film series. TOP DOWN is set atop the Hotel deLuxe's parking structure (SW 15th at Yamhill) and happens every Thursday evening July 24th through August 28th. Music starts promptly at 8pm followed by each evening's film at dusk.
